I’m Abigail, a craft addict and teacher living in Aichi, Japan. I originally come from Yorkshire in the UK, but I moved here over 4 years ago and never looked back.
I’ve been making things since I was tiny – I remember sitting on the grass at infant school making ‘fairy shoes’ from leaves and bits of grass. My mum wasn’t the nicest person, but she did teach me knitting and sewing when I was 7 – which means I’ve been a knitter for more than 25 years! Since then I’ve branched out a bit, learning to cut patterns, handspin, crochet, loom-bead, make wire-wrapped jewellery, needle- and wet-felt, dye, origami and papercrafts, drawing and painting, to name but a few.
I love to mix up techniques, to learn new things and to share what I’ve learned. It’s with that in mind that I launched this site, to share my passion for crafts, somewhere crafters of all types, budgets, and experience levels can come to pick up something new or find new takes on old skills.
