Happy Saturday! For this week’s quickie, we’ll make a cute jellyfish decoration, perfect for a sea-themed kids room or party. Even very young children should be able to make these with a little supervision.
- Plastic carrier bag, preferably semi-transparent
- coloured paper
- tape
- yarn, string, ribbon or streamers
- permanent marker
Turn the bag handles-down, and draw a face with marker. The face should be quite near the top or it will get scrunched up when you tie the bag.
Scrunch up coloured paper loosely, and put inside the bag. Tie the handles of the bag together tightly, trapping as much air in the bag as you can. Trim off the handles.
Tape lengths of yarn or ribbon to the bottom of the jellyfish to make tentacles. Curly paper streamers look really good, or why not find some glow-in-the-dark tape/paper to make phosphorescent jellyfish?
